A fire at the Western Reserve Transit Authority bus garage on Mahoning Avenue is causing a temporary cancellation of Warren route schedules.

The Youngstown Fire Department battled the fire Sunday morning, and the blaze was contained to just one of the 30 buses, WFMJ reported. But more maintenance time is needed “to ensure all of the buses are clean and odorless,” a news release states.

Warren service is canceled for Tuesday and “will return as soon as possible,” Dean Harris, WRTA’s executive director, said in the release.

The canceled routes are #70 Southeast, #71 North, #72 Southwest, #73 East, #74 Elm Road Warren, #75 Northwest and #76 North Jackson Express, according to the release.

WRTA is recommending that riders check bus schedules to make sure routes haven’t been modified.

“A few other routes may be affected also, so it’s important riders check before heading out,” Harris said in the release.

Riders can visit WRTA’s website, get update information on the MyStop Mobile app, which is available on Google Play and the Apple Store, or call 330-744-8431.
