YOUNGSTOWN — In collaboration with the Mahoning Valley Historical Society’s Cookie Table and Cocktails fundraising event, Penguin City Brewing Co., 530 Mahoning Ave., Suite A, will release Peach Champagne Ale during an event from 5 to 8 p.m. Feb. 13 at B&O Station.

"Our annual Cookie Table and Cocktails fundraiser is going to be extra fun this year with Penguin City's February special brew," Dave Ragan, communications manager for the Mahoning Valley Historical Society, said in a news release. “Being inspired by one of our 2019 event's winning cookie recipes shows the creative spirit and local support of Penguin City."

Peach Champagne Ale was based on last year’s winning cookie, Pesche Con Crema by Christy Fullwood. Peaches by White House Fruit Farm in Canfield were used for the festive ale.

“We love that we can collaborate with Mahoning Valley Historical Society,” Penguin City’s Aspasia Lyras-Bernacki said. “The Cookie Table and Cocktails benefit is one of our favorite events in Youngstown. We love honoring the history of our Valley, and the cookie table is an important staple. Like the cookie table, we strive to become a part of Youngstown’s history and tradition.”

Peach Champagne Ale will be available in cans for sale at the Cookie Table and Cocktails event, which takes place from 6 to 10 p.m. Feb. 29 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica Social Hall, 343 Via Mount Carmel Ave. Then it will be available in restaurants, bars and grocery stores.
