Southern Park Mall to reopen May 12

BOARDMAN — Southern Park Mall will reopen May 12 with additional protocol in place to prevent coronavirus spread, according to a news release from the mall.

The mall will be open Monday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The following guidelines will be in place upon opening:

  • Practice social distancing and stay at least 6 feet from other people.
  • Covering your mouth and nose with a cloth face cover is recommended.
  • Do not gather in groups.
  • Adhere to each individual tenant's COVID-19 policies.
  • Adhere to all federal, state and local regulations, recommendations and mandates regarding COVID-19.

The mall's "rigorous disinfectant and cleaning practices" will continue, and hand sanitizer will be available in high traffic areas.

Guests can find updates for specific stores on the Facebook and Instagram accounts for Southern Park Mall.

A blood drive will take place at the mall in partnership with the American Red Cross May 21 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Donors can schedule an appointment online at redcrossblood.org or by calling 1-800-REDCROSS.

Additionally, donations of non-perishable food, bottled water, laundry soap, toilet paper and toiletries are being accepted at the Salvation Army bins outside the food court entrance.
