YSU cancels Summer Festival of the Arts
YOUNGSTOWN — Youngstown State University's 22nd annual Summer Festival of the Arts, originally scheduled for July 11 and 12, has been canceled due to the ongoing COVID-19 health crisis.
"While it is never easy to cancel a long-standing event, this decision is prudent for the safety of all concerned," Phyllis M. Paul, dean of the Cliffe College of Creative Arts & Communication, said in a news release.
Potential plans for rescheduling this year, perhaps in fall, will be based on Gov. Mike DeWine's and the university's guidelines, and updates will be provided at the earliest possible opportunity, according to the release.
