YOUNGSTOWN — Youngstown native Bob DiPiero will return for the sixth annual “American Made” Country Music Songwriter Series at 7:30 p.m. April 24 in the Ford Family Recital Hall at DeYor Performing Arts Center, 260 W. Federal St.
The performance will benefit services that COMPASS Family and Community Services provides to the Mahoning Valley.
Hall of Fame songwriter DiPiero has had more than 1,000 songs recorded by other artists, numerous hit singles and 15 No. 1 hits. He is the originator of the CMA Songwriters Series and has served as its host for 10 years.
For the past several years, DiPiero has brought the event to Youngstown to benefit COMPASS’ Sojourner House. In 2014, the CMA presented him with its CMA Chairman’s Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the music industry and songwriting community.
Songwriters JT Harding, Lee Thomas Miller and Jon Nite will join DePiero at the Youngstown performance.
Tickets are available at the DeYor PAC Box Office and online here starting today. VIP passes are available for a post-event meet-and-greet reception.
