YOUNGSTOWN — Stambaugh Auditorium has received three grants totaling $11,420 to be used for COVID-19 relief efforts.

The grants will be used to help offset overhead expenses associated with blood drives being conducted at the auditorium in response to the COVID-19 emergency. The organizations and amount donated are:

  • John MacIntosh Fund of The Youngstown Foundation through the Mahoning Valley COVID-19 Relief Program, $5,000;
  • PNC Foundation, $5,000;

Since March, 12 blood drives have been held at Stambaugh Auditorium resulting in the collection of more than 1,300 pints of blood.

"We are so grateful for the grants from these local foundations whose support has enabled us to continue to utilize Stambaugh Auditorium to help others during these unprecedented times," JoAnn Stock, Stambaugh's chief development officer, said in a news release.
