Golden Retriever Makes a Perfect ASMR Video Without Even Trying
Golden Retrievers don't really have to try all that hard to be adorable. Honestly, anything they do is cute-even when they're standing right under your feet while you're making dinner. Maverick is a TikTok-famous pup who usually spends his days undoing all of Mom's cleaning efforts, but he recently changed things up with an ASMR video that I could watch on repeat all day long.
The scene is simple: Maverick is standing in the kitchen with a bowl full of crunchy cucumber pieces sitting in front of him. Mom holds the camera extra close to his mouth, and as he picks up a piece and chomps down, he really couldn't be any more precious if he tried!

That's the best part of the video... the sweet Golden Retriever isn't even trying. He munches his snack piece by piece at a slow, methodical pace that's almost mesmerizing. One viewer said, "I hate hearing other people eat, but I don't mind Mavy," while another replied, "I know, right? I agree. It's gross when people chew like this, but dogs like Mav are the best and so cute!"
Another follower pointed out, "The way he closes his eyes tells that he is truly in the zone."

His little bowl is even cute! It's a slow-feeder with the word "slowly" painted on the side. Although Maverick can't read, the bowl seems to be doing its job-and as a result, we get a full minute of ASMR from this little cutie!
What Is ASMR?
Truthfully, I wasn't exactly sure what the acronym stood for, so I figured some of you might not know either! ASMR stands for autonomous sensory meridian response, which, according to Psychology Today, "describes the experience of tingling sensations in the crown of the head in response to a range of audiovisual triggers, such as whispering, tapping, and hand movements."
Other followers left comments like, "Why is this so relaxing?" and "I could listen to that sound all day," which really shows just how many people enjoy ASMR content. Some even suggested other foods Maverick should try in his next video!
