Christopher Knight opened up about his close bond with his Brady Bunch co-stars nearly 60 years after they first met as child actors. Knight, who played middle son Peter Brady on the ABCsitcom from 1969 to 1974, told People magazine that he considers his former castmates "family" even today.

"I mean, we were a big cast, that very much even today, acts like family," Knight, 68, shared. "It was a special group of people. For the six of us who were still on this planet, um, we're lifelong friends. I don't know, other than my own brothers and sisters and my own blood, there's nobody, whom I'm friends with that is from a deeper [moment], in time."

"It's going on 60 years now, right?" the actor added of The Brady Bunch's 1969 premiere. "And it actually exists a year earlier now because we did the pilot in '68. It's hard to believe it's been that long ago."

Knight co-starred with Barry Williams, Maureen McCormick, Eve Plumb, Mike Lookinland, and Susan Olsen on the beloved sitcom about a blended family, and he still keeps in touch with all of them. Fellow Brady Bunch stars Robert Reed, Florence Henderson, and Ann B. Davis have since passed away.

Other Brady Bunch stars have talked about being ‘family'

Knight isn't the only Brady Bunch cast member who cherishes the feeling of family shared with their co-stars. In an interview with Digital Journal, McCormick, who played eldest sister Marcia Brady, said she "dearly loved everyone connected with" the show-including those behind the scenes.

"I feel like it was one of those times when everything comes together, and it was just a magical connection," the actress shared. "We had fun and everybody, including the crew, are in my heart forever."

The Brady Bunch didn't end with the ‘70s sitcom. The cast members went on to work together on a variety show, two TV movies, and multiple spinoffs. Most recently, they reunited for the HGTV home renovation series A Very Brady Renovation.

During an appearance on The Magificent Others podcast, Olsen, who played youngest child Cindy Brady, said the cast's bond can't really be explained to outsiders.

"I think anytime that they get us together and let us be ourselves, like the HGTV show, it's always good because we have, it's the most unusual relationship," Olsen, 64, shared on the 2025 podcast. "And then for us kids, we did grow up together. We all know that there's only five other people on the planet that will ever really know what our childhoods were like. And if one of us were to die, we would all lose a limb."
