Rescue Cat With ‘Sea Glass' Green Eyes Couldn't Be More Gorgeous
When you're rescuing a cat, there's going to be one thing that truly sets them apart for you. For some people, it's purely their vibes, while others are drawn to a certain physical feature. No matter what, though, there's going to be something you just can't get out of your head.
For one little grey cat, it was her eyes. They're green, which isn't all that rare... Except for this shade of green. They look like little pieces of sea glass you'd find on the beach in a romance movie or something! It doesn't get better than this:

I've been a fan of Telly the Cat for a long time, almost entirely because I love her eyes. However, if you think those super vivid, pigmented peepers are the most interesting thing about Telly, you should know that she's also:
- A full-grown cat who's still the size of a kitten.
- Polydactyl, meaning she has several extra toes.
- Very sweet.
Her mom found her when she was just a baby: she was so small that she still needed to be bottle-fed. Luckily, she was ready to step right up! She and Telly are best friends.

Telly is a little bit of an oddball, though, especially when it comes to how she responds to being called for. Famously, cats respond to the "pspspspsps," sort of noise, preferably if you snap your fingers while you call for them, but not Telly:

She's definitely a little glitchy, but in the best way possible! Telly is an absolute icon! I love everything about her, but most of all, her pretty eyes.
Why Cat Eyes Are So Mesmerizing To Humans
If you look around, there are a lot of things that really emulate cat eyes in our everyday lives. Humans are obsessed with them, and for good reason! They're gorgeous! You'll find cat eye nail polish designs, patterns on home decor, and even some makeup techniques that mimic them.
Cats' eyes mimic gemstones. They reflect light differently than our eyes do, and the colored part of the eye goes wider than our own, leading to a more striking look than we're used to. Not even a dog's eyes are quite as cute as a cat's! They're not just pretty for the fun of it, though! That iconic eye shape helps:
- Night vision.
- Depth perception.
- Focusing.
Telly's eyes are just exceptionally pretty. They make her fur look almost blue!
