English rock act the Psychedelic Furs have canceled their spring and summer tour dates due to a "serious medical issue in the band," the "Love My Way" act announced Friday.

The tour was announced earlier this week. Presale tickets went on sale Thursday, and the public onsale was set to start Friday morning.

"Please accept our deepest apologies for the inconvenience," the band wrote in a message posted to social media.

Refunds are available at the point of purchase, the band stated in its message.

Several concert tours have been canceled or scaled back in recent weeks, including treks by Meghan Trainor, Zayn, and the Pussycat Dolls.
