Is James Lafferty joining the next season of Dancing With The Stars?

After a fan asked the One Tree Hill alum, 40, if he would ever consider joining the show, Lafferty initially expressed hesitation-but didn't rule it out completely.

"I think me going on Dancing With The Stars would be valuable not so much for the competition aspect, but for the comedy aspect," Lafferty said in a TikTok video.

The actor also said the competition series could serve as inspiration for his Netflix series Everyone Is Doing Great, which stars him and fellow One Tree Hill alum Stephen Colletti as two former co-stars five years after the end of their hit TV series.

In the comment section, DWTS fans jumped at the idea of Lafferty joining the ballroom this fall, and pro dancer Ezra Sosa even expressed interest in a potential partnership.

"He's hot I'm down," Sosa wrote jokingly.

Sosa's comment caught Lafferty's eye, and he made a second video where he revealed his one condition for joining DWTS if offered a spot on season 35.

"Thank you Ezra, you're very kind, and you're not so bad yourself," the actor began.

"More to the point, I've been thinking a lot about this, and I want to do it," he continued. "Yeah I'm gonna do Dancing With The Stars. I'm down. I have one condition: that Everyone Is Doing Great makes the top 10 TV shows on Netflix in the U.S."

"I will come do Dancing With The Stars and be happy to do Dancing With The Stars if Everyone Is Doing Great cracks the top 10," he added.

So far, the only contestants announced for DWTS Season 35 are reality stars Maura Higgins and Ciara Miller and Savannah Bananas player Jackson Olson.

The full cast will be revealed in September on Good Morning America and the season will begin airing on ABC and Disney+ later that month.

Everyone Is Doing Great is available to stream on Netflix.
