Memorial Day is here, and if you're ready to have a day to eat, drink, kick back and relax, the time is finally now. Since most people get to have a three-day weekend thanks to the holiday, barbecues and backyard boogie downs are probably all that's on the lineup for the day. But if you just made the decision to throw something at your house or stop by someone else's shindig, you most likely need to hit the store to grab some last-minute items. And what more convenient place to do that than Dollar General? If this is your favorite place to shop, however, you're probably wondering: Is Dollar General open on Memorial Day this year?

Shoppers who live in close proximity to a Dollar General know that having this all-in-one store near is more than clutch. You can literally get nearly anything you need for any event you have. But does that mean you'll be able to stop by on Memorial Day?

Is Dollar General Open on Memorial Day?

If you happen to be one of the many people running around hoping to grab those last-minute items for Memorial Day, you can breathe easy this year because Dollar General will absolutely be open on Monday, May 25. So, whether you're in need of paper plates, cups, drinks or even just some snacks, DG will be your one-stop shop for all things Memorial Day.

But don't think you're just limited to grabbing food-related items there. Dropped something on that crisp white tee of yours? You can grab yourself a fresh three-pack of shirts while you're there, too. Planning to do some home improvement tasks instead? Though not offering a lineup as robust as Home Depot or Lowe's, they've still got a few things you can grab for those projects as well. So when should you stop by? Well, it may depend.

What Are Dollar General's Memorial Day Hours?

For those who may be a bit nervous about Dollar General not being open during their last-minute crisis, don't you fret. Thankfully, most of Dollar General's locations will be open during regular hours, which typically are from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Since most stores are independently operated, your nearest location may be operating on a slightly reduced holiday schedule.

To avoid walking up to closed doors on Memorial Day, we suggest using the Dollar General store locator to check your store's operating hours. Or, if you just want to be extra sure, call them to confirm the time in advance.
