'Captain America' Trilogy Quietly Arriving on Streaming After Box Office Success

All three Captain America movies will be making their way to Hulu in the United States on June 1, 2026 (via CBR).

The entire Marvel Cinematic Universe is typically only available to stream on Disney+ in the United States, with some overseas territories receiving them on Hulu thanks to special licensing deals. Next month, however, Hulu subscribers will be treated to three of the franchise's best offerings.

Starring Chris Evans in the titular role, Captain America: The First Avenger was released in 2011, just months before the MCU came together for its first team-up movie with The Avengers. The movie follows U.S. soldier Steve Rogers, who takes a secret serum that grants him super strenth and turns him into a patriotic hero during the Second World War.

The movie also stars Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter, and Hugo Weaving as Johann Schmidt (aka Red Skull). The First Avenger was a huge success upon release, pulling in $370 million worldwide against a reported budget of $140 million (via Box Office Mojo). It also scored 80% on Rotten Tomatoes, making it the MCU's biggest critical hit since Iron Man.

Following the huge success of The Avengers in 2012, Captain America: The Winter Soldier was eventually confirmed for a 2014 release. The sequel brought back much of the new cast, while bringing new additions such as Robert Redford, Toby Jones and Samuel L. Jackson on board.

The Winter Soldier was another huge success, raking in $714 million worldwide against a $170 million budget (via Box Office Mojo). It was the MCU's highest-grossing entry outside of the Avengers franchise. Much of that popularity was driven by strong critics' reviews, many of which praised the film's close-quarters action sequences and fast-paced storytelling.

Captain America: Civil War closed out the MCU's most consistent trilogy with a large-scale team-up movie that brought characters from the entire franchise together for a high-stakes fight for survival. It outgrossed both previous entries combined with an incredible worldwide total of £1.2 billion, laying the foundations for the MCU's future while closing the chapter on its most lucrative non-Avengers saga.

For those few who haven't already seen these beloved action movies, you can soon watch all three Captain America films from the comfort of your own home with a valid Hulu subscription. Alternatively, the entire MCU can be purchased or rented through any major VOD platform, such as Amazon Prime or Apple TV.
