This Golden Aussie Has One Particular Demand, and We Can't Stop Laughing
It's not uncommon for dogs to pick up habits that they must follow every single day. These routines can range from a strict bedtime to needing release words to start eating. While many of them make sense, this golden Aussie has picked up an interesting routine that many of us don't understand but thoroughly respect.
Tate isn't your regular dog; he is a golden retriever-Australian shepherd mix who thoroughly showcases both breeds in his demeanor. Like any good golden Aussie mix, Tate loves his human and wants to be on top of his human at all times, even though he is significantly bigger than a lap dog. Affectionate, loyal, and just a little bit dramatic, Tate is exactly what you'd expect from a mix of two of the most devoted breeds around.

Now this furbaby has a new routine that his human may need to pay their pet sitter a little extra for.
"Toddler in His Past Life"

Although we aren't sure how many pet sitters have received this kind of briefing before, Tate has one very peculiar demand from anyone and everyone taking care of him. After his naps, Tate requests "uppies" from the human present while his sleepies wear off.
It's an undeniably cute request, until you remember that Tate tips the scales at over 70 pounds, according to his human. Like any good baby, Tate is apparently never too old or too big to ask for a little post-nap snuggle session.
Over the video, Tate's human made fun of the demand with the text, "Imagine having to explain to the dog sitter that when he wakes up from his afternoon nap, he needs to be held until his sleepies wear off."
The internet, of course, had a lot to say.

"If one of my fur clients needed sleepies held, I am 100% doing just that," reacted one pet sitter in the comments.
Another viewer added, "My niece just told me yesterday that that's how she puts her dog to sleep and he's about that size. So she's not the only one I'm guessing."
"Toddler in his past life," one person summarized.
While we can't imagine Tate's post-nap routine is doing any favors for his mom's back in the long run, one thing is crystal clear: this 70-pound baby has absolutely no intention of giving up his uppies anytime soon. And given how adorable he is? We don't blame him one bit.
