June 15 (UPI) --Disney has released a new featurette highlighting the music of Moana.

The studio shared a video Monday that gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at the making of "Along the Way," a song from the forthcoming film.

Moana is a live-action remake of Disney's 2016 animated film of the same name. "Along the Way" is a collaboration between Catherine Laga'aia, who plays Moana in the remake, Auli'i Cravalho, who voiced Moana in the 2016 version, and Dwayne Johnson, who portrays Maui in both movies.

"Along the Way" is written by Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, who serves as a producer on the remake.

"'Along the Way' is the perfect symbolism for this movie. Dwayne and Auli'i each sing about finding me along the way and our journeys colliding," Laga'aia says in the featurette.

"Being able to pass the baton to Catherine is really important for me," Cravalho adds. "To see her take on the life of this character is such a joy."

Moana opens in theaters July 10. Disney released a final trailer for the film last week that features Johnson's Maui singing "You're Welcome," the character's signature song from the first movie.
