Trump jumps on Taylor Swift wedding fever with 'America's Eras Tour'
This weekend is all about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce – and President Trump.
With Swift-Kelce wedding fever gripping New York City and beyond, Trump found a (blank?) space to insert himself into the holiday weekend mania, taking to social media and sharing an image of himself at the center of an Eras Tour-themed political poster.
"It's been a long time coming…," the official White House account wrote in a post on X Thursday, July 2, the same day stars gathered in Maddison Square Garden for what was reportedly the pre-wedding rehearsal dinner. The White House's choice of caption is a lyric from Swift's track "Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince."
In the X post, Trump features in the middle of the poster, surrounded by other historic figures including Abraham Lincoln and George Washington. "America's Eras Tour" reads the text underneath the image, in reference to Swift's record-breaking Eras Tour.
The star-studded wedding of the 14-time Grammy winner and Super Bowl champ also happens to coincide with Trump's plans for the nation's 250th anniversary – which will include "a really long speech" at the National Mall on July 4 amid extreme heat. Trump's remarks will follow a "Salute to America" program and the "largest fireworks display in history," according to organizers.
It is unclear if Swift and Kelce's decision to marry on the same weekend as 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence was made in a deliberate jab at the Trump administration or if the dates just so happened to align.
Despite Trump's planning, so far only one thing is dominating national and international headlines: Swift's love story.
Taylor Swift and Trump's long-standing feud
It is no secret that some "bad blood" definitely exists between Trump and Swift who have clashed repeatedly over the years.
Swift endorsed Kamala Harris in the 2024 election, saying in an Instagram post that she was voting for a leader who projects "calm and not chaos." Days after Swift's endorsement of Harris, Trump took to Truth Social writing, "I hate Taylor Swift."
Trump, for his, part has frequently taken aim at the star.
"Has anyone noticed that, since I said 'I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,' she's no longer 'HOT?'" he wrote on Truth Social in May 2025.
