Blues-rock guitarist Joe Bonamassa will bring his fall tour to the Covelli Centre at 8 p.m. Saturday.

Tickets, ranging in price from $60 to $149, can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com and the Southwoods Health Box Office inside the Covelli Centre.

Bonamassa’s career began onstage opening for B.B. King in 1989 when he was only 12 years old. He is an ever-evolving singer-songwriter with more than 40 albums to date all under his own label, J&R Adventures.

In addition to his music and shows, Bonamassa continues to crank out weekly programming for his radio show, “Different Shades Of Blue,” for Sirius XM’s Bluesville channel.

Football party to kick off Toys for Tots donation drive

CANFIELD — Kennsington Golf Club & Grille will kick off it’s 2021 Toys for Tots donation drive with a football party at 9 a.m. Saturday.

Admission is $25, and $10 of each ticket sold will be donated to the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Foundation. Admission includes a breakfast buffet and a halftime buffet during the college football game between Ohio State and Michigan. Also during halftime, a silent auction will be held featuring a variety of items donated by local businesses. Silent auction tickets are 10 for $20, with all proceeds benefiting Toys for Tots.

Kennsington Golf Club is also offering a certificate for nine holes of golf with a Toys for Tots donation of a new and unwrapped toy ($10 minimum).

Lanterman’s Mill to host Olde Fashioned Christmas

YOUNGSTOWN — Mill Creek MetroParks is inviting guests to an Olde Fashioned Christmas at Lanterman’s Mill from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Visitors will be able to taste chestnuts roasted on an open fire, purchase handcrafted gifts and watch the “Christmas Story” movie on the big screen.

There will be crafts for children and a visit from Santa, who will be escorted to the mill by the Mill Creek MetroParks Police at noon Saturday.

Visitors are urged to bring a new hat, scarf or pair of mittens to decorate a Giving Tree. Donated items will be distributed to local children in need this winter.
