‘Word Up!’ Cameo to headline Youngstown Mega Music Festival in June

The Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre will host the Youngstown Mega Music Festival on June 18.

The Juneteenth celebration at the amphitheater, 201 S. Phelps St., will feature Cameo, The Dazz Band, Stone City Band and One Way.

Tickets, ranging in price from $52.50 to $102, will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at Ticketmaster.com and the Southwoods Health Box Office inside the Covelli Centre. Presale tickets will be available here from 10 a.m. Wednesday to 10 p.m. Thursday. Use password WORDUP.

Cameo will headline the show. The funk band has sold more than 18 million albums and is best known for its 1986 hit “Word Up!” The single was the group’s first Top 40 hit in the United States, reaching No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 1 on the R&B and Hot Dance Singles charts.
