Ohio’s water parks are open for summer. Here’s what to know about hours & prices
It’s no surprise that people in Ohio are looking towards pools and cooler places to have outdoor fun this summer, especially during the season’s hottest days, which fall in July.
If you’re looking for a way to enjoy the weather while not risking heat exhaustion, an array of water parks to visit with family and friends awaits you. Here’s how to stay cool and enjoy the longest days of the year.
Cedar Point Shores
Cedar Point Shores has a different kind of water slide for just about any age. Splash pads, sprinklers, lily pad courses on the water, and every aspect of the water park keeps you on your feet and in the 18 acres of aquatic attractions. Whether you’re looking for thrill-packed slides, a relaxing spin around the lazy river, or good food and drinks to get your energy back, Cedar Point lets you take your pick and enjoy the day exactly the way you want.
Tickets for Cedar Point Shores and Cedar Point Amusement Park are both set at $49.99 (sold separately). Rates for military discounts drop to $44.99, and rates for both season and special passes have varying adjusted rates listed on the Cedar Point website.
The daily operational hours for the water park are 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. and 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. for full Cedar Point amusement park.

For a change in pace outside of the lake you can take a break at the volleyball and basketball courts, a mini golf course and paddle boating.
