Two Mahoning Valley high school football games scheduled for Friday night have been canceled because of coronavirus.
The Brookfield and United football programs have been idled because of COVID-19 outbreaks.
United was to host Valley Christian while Brookfield was to play Liberty.
Instead, Liberty will travel to Rootstown.
United is the third Columbiana County football program to have a game canceled because of coronavirus in the first four weeks of the season. Leetonia and Lisbon also were shut down for games in August.
