ACTION to launch ‘Healthier YOU’ initiative at Youngstown event

YOUNGSTOWN — Alliance for Congregational Transformation Influencing our Neighborhoods will launch “Healthier YOU” at an event from 3 to 6 p.m. Jan. 26 at B & O Station, 530 Mahoning Ave.

The event will feature food sampling, line dancing, yoga, an opportunity to learn about health resources and more. 

“Healthier YOU” is a series of initiative building workshops that will take place in collaboration with health care professionals and others to improve the health of community residents. 

Collaborators include Mercy Health Nutrition Department, YSU Dietician Department, United Health and Lady Buggs Farm.

ACTION received a $30,000 grant from the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America and plans to take an active role in assisting others in addressing the community’s food insecurities.
