Adam Hughes and Renay Sanders will read from their work for Lit Youngstown's First Wednesday Reader Series.

YOUNGSTOWN — Adam Hughes of Virginia and Renay Sanders of Cleveland will read from their work for Lit Youngstown's next First Wednesday Readers Series.

Wednesday's (Feb. 3) online session begins at 7 p.m. on Lit Youngstown's Facebook page. The program will be co-hosted by Jonie McIntire. Register here to attend on Zoom and/or read during the open mic.

Hughes is the author of four full-length poetry collections, most recently "Allow the Stars to Catch Me When I Rise" and "Deep Cries Out to Deep."

Born and raised in Central Ohio, he now lives in the foothills of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains where he is pursuing a Master of Fine Arts degree at Randolph College.

Sanders, a Cleveland native, has published poems in the Hessler Street, Writing Knights and Poet’s Haven anthologies, the chapbook "Dancing in Place" and the story “Cemetery Run” in the Women of Appalachia Project 2019.
