Boardman’s Holdridge receives National Merit recognition

BOARDMAN — Boardman senior Noah Holdridge has received recognition from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

Cynthia Fernback, Boardman High School principal, said in a news release has been selected as a "Commended Student" in the National Merit Scholarship Program.

Holdridge is among 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation being recognized for exceptional academic promise.

"This is quite an honor for Noah, and shows his motivation and dedication to learning, as well as recognizes him among the most academically talented high school seniors," Fernback said. "We are extremely proud of him!"

Holdridge intends to study engineering and says he's looking at several universities including Purdue, Cornell and Michigan.
