BOARDMAN — The construction project at Spartan Stadium has received a boost from Chuck Whitman, president of CTW Development Corp.

“As we see the dirt moving again at the stadium entrance, some major donations are starting to roll in once again,” Bruce Flyak, Boardman Booster Club president, said in a news release. “We want to thank Valley developer Chuck Whitman, who has just donated $40,000 to the stadium project.”

Whitman, a 1972 Boardman High School graduate, will be recognized through sponsorship of a new ticket booth at Spartan Stadium.

“Chuck has been a great supporter of the Boardman Booster Club and Boardman Schools for many years, and his latest donation will be recognized with signage on a newly constructed ticket booth at Spartan Stadium,” Flyak said.

Construction work at the stadium will include an expansion of the concession plaza and walkway, two new ticket booths, entrance upgrades and placement of donor bricks and donor plaques.

The Boardman Booster Club and supporters have donated more than $3 million to the project, and fundraising is ongoing. One ticket booth sponsorship is still available, and there are advertising/sponsorship opportunities.
