Boscov’s at Eastwood Mall to have 3-day grand opening celebration

NILES — Boscov’s will have a three-day celebration when its new store opens at Eastwood Mall later this year.

“The delayed opening gave us time to put together a wonderful three-day grand opening celebration created uniquely for the Mahoning and Shenango Valley communities,” CEO Jim Boscov said in a news release.

The event will feature “entertainment, activities for the whole family, fireworks and more,” Boscov said.

The celebration schedule:

  • Oct. 7: Charity Day — Shop for a Cause: Make a $5 donation to your favorite participating nonprofit and you’ll be the first to see the new Boscov’s and the first to shop for grand opening specials. You’ll also receive a free gift.
  • Oct. 8: Family Fun Day and fireworks: Shop the new Boscov’s and enjoy free family activities, entertainment and a fireworks show.
  • Oct. 9: Ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Based in Reading, Pa., Boscov's is the largest family-owned department store in the nation, operating 48 stores. The store will be the third Boscov's location in a mall owned by the Cafaro Co. Boscov's is also located at Cafaro centers in St. Clairsville and Erie, Pa.
