COLUMBUS — Gov. Mike DeWine returned to the podium Tuesday to beg Ohio schools to require masks.

Two weeks ago, the Ohio Department of Health released back to school guidance recommending vaccinations for those eligible and mask-wearing for the unvaccinated.

"If you're not requiring masks, please, please, please think about this again," DeWine said to school administrators. "Consider doing it for the next few weeks."

"This is the time to take precautions, not the time to take them away," he said.
