BREAKING | Ohio reports 4,078 new COVID-19 cases

The state has 350 new coronavirus deaths since Tuesday.

COLUMBUS — The Ohio Department of Health on Friday reported 4,078 new COVID-19 cases statewide in the past 24 hours.

That includes 281 new cases in the Mahoning Valley: 121 new cases in Mahoning County (for a total of 30,719), 83 in Trumbull (22,825) and 77 in Columbiana (14,081)

ODH says 23,955 people have died because of coronavirus, an increase of 350 since Tuesday's report.  Twenty-eight are in the Valley: 18 in Mahoning and five each in Trumbull and Columbiana.

There were 239 new COVID-19 hospitalizations reported in the state and 20 new ICU admissions.

The state's vaccination dashboard says there have been 2,833 new vaccinations since Thursday.
