YOUNSGTOWN — With four days until their planned strike and no deal in sight, the union representing Youngstown State University faculty opened a strike vote for members today at 5 p.m.

Both parties' negotiating teams met Thursday but got no closer to reaching an agreement to end the 10-month-long contract dispute.

A second negotiation session is scheduled for Friday. The vote is open until Saturday at 5 p.m. If the strike is approved and an agreement is not reached, a strike will begin Modnay, the first day of fall break at YSU.
