Bridge to be named for late Rep. Manning
NORTH LIMA — On Friday, a Mahoning County bridge will be named in honor of late state Rep. Don Manning.
Gov. Mike DeWine plans to sign an Ohio House bill Friday naming the state Route 164 bridge at Interstate 680 in North Lima the Don Manning Memorial Bridge.
Manning, of New Middletown, the Ohio House's former 59th district representative, died in March 2020 of an apparent heart attack. He was 54.
The bill to dedicate the bridge was sponsored by Manning's successor, Republican state Rep. Al Cutrona, of Canfield.
The ceremony is set for 3 p.m. Friday at the Ohio Department of Transportation Outpost in North Lima, and is set to be joined by DeWine, Cutrona, Mahoning County Republican Party Chairman Tom McCabe, as well as Manning's family and friends.
