BUSINESS UPDATES | Ben Lachman joins BRITE Energy's roster of entrepreneurs-in-residence

Also among today's business updates: Ohio Living Lake Vista; Levy Gardens Assisted Living; and the Ohio Small Business Development Center at YSU.

WARREN — BRITE Energy Innovators, 125 W. Market St., has added Ben Lachman to its roster of entrepreneurs-in-residence.

Lachman’s background includes more than 15 years of entrepreneurial experience — with eight working in energy — and he brings experience in building technology products and businesses to BRITE Energy.

In addition to his own ventures, Lachman has worked with West Coast startups, small businesses and Fortune 50 companies as a consultant. He has developed revenue models, user analytics, sales funnels and fundraising pitches. He is currently principal of digital product studio Nice Mohawk and serves as co-editor of The Orbital Index — a weekly space tech newsletter.

In his role at BRITE Energy, Lachman will help early-stage energy companies develop products, prepare for raising capital and scale their operations.

“We’re excited to welcome Ben to the team. He’s been a part of our network for a while, but as one of our entrepreneurs-in-residence, we feel he brings a specific skill set that will support our startups — especially those with software-oriented products,” Rick Stockburger, BRITE Energy’s CEO, said in a news release. “As we expand our footprint, serving startups with different models is critical to truly serving the energy entrepreneur ecosystem.”
