SALEM — CertaSite Serves, the charitable giving arm of CertaSite, a commercial fire protection and life safety company, is conducting a donation drive for local humane society branches in the 16 markets where CertaSite has offices.

The company's goal is to gather 100 supplies for each location, including the Columbiana County Humane Society, over the span of the five-week campaign.

"I'm so excited for this initiative. Being able to support the communities, Columbiana County Humane Society and furry friends that faithfully support us is the kind of work we pride ourselves on," Tim Young, district manager of CertaSite, said in a news release. "Our people have the hearts for this community initiative and the commitment to show our communities that we are more than fire extinguishers. We're here to offer a helping hand and provide a meaningful impact to our neighbors and animals in need."

The donation drive runs through April 15. For more information on helping out, click here.

Ribbon-cutting to mark opening of Churchill-Liberty clinic

YOUNGSTOWN — Phoenix Physical Therapy has opened its new Churchill-Liberty clinic at 4686 Belmont Ave. and will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. Tuesday.

The clinic, located in Churchill Commons Plaza next to Giant Eagle, provides personalized physical therapy care and occupational health services to treat orthopedic conditions, pre- and post-surgical rehabilitation and work injuries.

The new clinic, led by Multi-Site Clinic Director Vincent Ragozine of Girard, features a special area called Level II — Muscle Up to provide physical therapy to athletes or others recovering from an injury. This CrossFit-like area will help patients recover and get back to competing through sports-specific training, strength exercises and stretching, a news release states.

"I treat patients as I would treat my own family, with dignity and empathy. I believe physical therapy should be a low-stress experience, and I do my best to incorporate fun into my patient's sessions," Ragozine said in the release.

Phoenix Physical Therapy, which operates more than 140 clinics in 11 states, acquired Ohio-based Tudor Physical Therapy in 2020. Tudor's 12 clinics in the Eastern Ohio area have been integrated into Phoenix, and a brand transition is in progress.
