BUSINESS UPDATES | Kravitz Deli to help raise funds for Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County
LIBERTY — To commemorate National Deli Month, Kravitz Deli, 3135 Belmont Ave., will make a donation to the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County for every boxed lunch sold. For every order of 10 boxed lunches or more, Kravitz will donate $10 to the organization.
"During COVID, many people adopted pets as companions to help with the loneliness of staying home," Lori Shandor, Animal Welfare League CEO, said in a news release. "Soon, people realized that having a pet was a big commitment, and the once-empty shelters are filling up with abandoned animals as people return to work. Donations go to medical care for the shelter animals, including vaccinations, microchips and spaying/neutering."
The individual boxed lunches come sealed for safety and feature a choice of sandwich, pickle, chips or deli salad, a cookie and individually sealed condiments. Sandwich choices include corned beef, turkey, ham or pastrami and require a 24-hour notice for orders. Reubens and grilled sandwiches are not available for the boxed lunches because the meals are refrigerated for food safety.
"Boxed lunches became very popular with our customers, as they are a safe and thoughtful way to enjoy the deli's offerings," Jack Kravitz, president of Kravitz Deli, said.
