NEWTON FALLS — ONE Health Ohio at Falls Family Care recently presented a $1,000 donation to Heritage Accord during its National Health Center Week celebration.

Heritage Accord is a 501(c)3 that is currently renovating the Newton Falls Community Center.

“ONE Health Ohio was established in 1986 and has served over 1 million patient visits, improving and saving many lives in Mahoning, Trumbull and Stark counties,” Dr. Ronald Dwinnells, CEO of ONE Health Ohio, said in a news release. “We would like to thank the Newton Falls community for their support by making a donation for the renovation of the Newton Falls Community Center.”

National Health Center Week celebrates the role that community health centers have had in providing high-quality health care services, especially to those who live in areas where medical, dental, behavioral health and pharmaceutical services are not easily accessible, the release states.

TNP to host community event at Lucky 7 Food Market

WARREN — Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership will host a community event in partnership with Lucky 7 Food Market, 1265 E. Market St., from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday.

The event will highlight the market’s fresh produce offerings and EBT service and will feature health screenings, children’s activities and free cooked foods.

Other partners include the Mercy Health Foundation, Creating Healthy Communities and Healthy Community Partnership.

“To help alleviate food insecurity in our area, we must invest in the independent and locally owned small businesses that already exist,” Christian Bennett-Mosley, Trumbull County Food Access coordinator, said in a news release. “I’m so proud of Lucky 7 for taking the initiative of providing healthier options within their store. It is so important for the public to see this because it changes the negative stereotype of what corner stores have to offer in our neighborhoods.”

Royale Renee’s Event Center to celebrate grand opening

BOARDMAN — Royale Renee’s Event Center is celebrating its grand opening in Southern Park Mall, 7401 Market St., with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. Sunday.

A back-to-school giveaway will take place during the event. A variety of local vendors will sell items such as jewelry, custom book bags and more.
