Survey to gauge air travel activity among local business leaders

YOUNGSTOWN — The Western Reserve Port Authority and Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber have partnered to launch an electronic survey on air travel activity among local business leaders.

Western Reserve Port Authority, which manages the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport, is exploring several opportunities for services related to future air travel.

The survey is designed to determine air passenger use, both pre-pandemic and anticipated post-pandemic. The information will support the port authority’s efforts in securing the right airline to serve the local market.

John Moliterno, chief executive officer at the port authority, requested that the regional chamber design and distribute the survey.

“This will ensure the community has a voice in determining the best air passenger service provider for the region,” Moliterno said in a news release. “We want to accommodate our business leaders, leisure passengers and future growth opportunities in the Valley by supplying daily air passenger flights to destinations most in demand.”

The survey, which can be found here, will be open until June 11.
