BOARDMAN — Zoup! Eatery is celebrating the opening of a new location at 1315 Boardman-Canfield Road.
The celebration, which will take place Monday through next Saturday, will include deals, promotions, giveaways and a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Festivities during the week are available in-store only and include:
- Monday: Sweet Monday — free mini-cookies with any purchase;
- Tuesday: Hometown Heroes — police, veterans, active military, firefighters, EMT, doctors, nurses and teachers receive 50% off their dine-in purchase. Ribbon-cutting at 11 a.m.;
- Wednesday: Kids Eat Free — with the purchase of an entrée;
- Thursday: Throwback Thursday — 1998 bowl of soup prices ($5.95 bowls);
- Friday: Freebie Friday — giveaways and prizes;
- Saturday: Social Saturday — special prizes for guests reviewing the restaurant on Yelp, Google or Facebook (must show review to cashier).
Steve Plummer joins PALO Creative team
YOUNGSTOWN — PALO Creative has hired Steve Plummer as its director of Creative Services.
Plummer earned an associate's degree in visual communications from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. He has 36 years of marketing experience, serving in a creative director role at international marketing agencies in Northeast Ohio for the past 14 years. Some of his responsibilities have included managing teams, creating design concepts, implementing brand strategies and working to bridge the gap between creative, account and strategy teams.
“PALO Creative does more digital-driven work than any other agency I’ve worked at in the past,” Plummer said in a news release. “So this is an exciting opportunity for me to learn more about that side of things and apply everything I’ve learned over the years from working for large brands.”
President and CEO Rob Palowitz has brought on seven new team members in the past year to serve the agency’s growing client list.
“Steve has a vast knowledge and experience working in the business-to-business manufacturing sector,” Palowitz said. “His experience working with industry leaders, C-level executives and international brands will help extend our team’s capabilities of understanding what works best in the marketplace. Youngstown Blue Coats to celebrate reopening of office
HUBBARD — Youngstown Blue Coats is celebrating the reopening of its office at 6169 Youngstown-Hubbard Road with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Monday.
The organization has expanded, reorganized and updated its office to make it more efficient and to be able to get more supplies to serve more people during the winter months.
Youngstown Blue Coats provides winter coats, boots, gloves, tents, sleeping bags and other items to those who are homeless and veterans in need.
Missi Mangino joins iSynergy as junior video producer
CANFIELD — Digital marketing agency iSynergy, 558 E. Main St., has hired Missi Mangino as a junior video producer.
Mangino earned a degree in telecommunications media from Youngstown State University, where she gained experience in shooting video for both the YSU football and tennis teams.
Since graduating, she has operated as a freelancer, producing video and still photography, along with commercial work.
“Missi brings video experience to the table, but also a fresh point of view to what we do here,” Steve Cross, iSynergy owner and creative director, said in a news release. “We’re thrilled to have her on our team and have her grow and develop with us.”
