CONSTRUCTION UPDATE | I-680 lane restrictions, ramp closures kick in tonight
YOUNGSTOWN — The Ohio Department of Transportation will close ramps and restrict lanes on Interstate 680 beginning at 7 p.m. tonight.
Work is expected to be completed by noon Saturday.
Here's how highway traffic will be affected:
- I-680 northbound and southbound over Mill Creek Park will be reduced to one lane in each direction.
- The ramp from Mahoning Avenue to I-680 southbound will be closed. The detour will be Mahoning Avenue to Edwards Street to I-680.
- The ramp from Marshall Street to I-680 northbound will be closed. The detour will be Glenwood Avenue to Mahoning Avenue to Bella Vista Boulevard.
Columbiana County
State Route 7 bridge replacement: Traffic delays are expected Monday while the contractor sets bridge breams. Traffic will be stopped intermittently in 15-minute intervals. This project is located east of Columbiana between state Route 14 and Metz Road. During construction, traffic is maintained via temporary traffic signals. Completion date for the project is June 30.
