The Ohio Department of Transportation plans to improve state Route 46 in Greene Township.
The project proposes to rehabilitate the bridge carrying state Route 46 over Mosquito Creek between Wakefield Creek Road and York Street by replacing the existing deteriorated bridge deck and approach slabs.
The $917,740 project is scheduled to begin construction in the spring.
State Route 46 at the bridge site will be closed to traffic for a maximum of 45 consecutive days during project construction. The official detour route for this closure will utilize state Route 87, state Route 11 and U.S. Route 322.
Construction and bridge closure/detour information will be posted within the project construction limits and on the ODOT District 4 website prior to the start of project construction. Access will be maintained to all adjacent properties within the project construction limits for the duration of project construction.
To ensure the decision-making process is comprehensive, ODOT is seeking comments from the public about the social, environmental and economic impacts of this proposed project. Environmental impacts include those involving archaeological, architectural and ecological resources, regulated materials and the general location of the project.
ODOT also requests information regarding the presence of any known cultural resources in the vicinity of the project, including prehistoric and historic archaeological sites, historic bridges, historic buildings, landmarks and districts.
Any comments you may have regarding the environmental impacts and/or the proposed project may be submitted by Oct. 14.
