CONSTRUCTION UPDATE | Mahoning County roads due for surfacing upgrades

Several bridge and resurfacing projects are planned for Trumbull County.

The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Mahoning and Trumbull counties this week. All outlined work is weather permitting.

Mahoning County

State routes 46 and 625 microsurfacing, city of Youngstown, Boardman and Canfield townships: The following routes have various lane restrictions for microsurfacing:

  • State Route 46 between U.S. Route 62 and New Road;
  • State Route 625 between Tippecanoe Road to Arden Boulevard.

Project should be complete in October.

State Route 164 bridge replacements, Beaver Township: The road between West Pine Lake Road and state Route 165 has reopened.

Trumbull County

Interstate 80 bridge repair and resurfacing, Hubbard Township: Beginning Friday evening and continuing through Aug. 14, there will be various nightly ramp closures at the I-80 and U.S. Route 62/state Route 7 interchange. These closures will occur nightly between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. All detours will be posted.

Interstate 80: The highway between state Route 304 and the Pennsylvania state line has various nightly lane restrictions. The project should be complete in October.

State Route 11 resurfacing, Liberty and Vienna townships: Beginning Sunday evening, the road between Tibbetts-Wick Road and state Route 82 will have various nightly lane restrictions. The project should be complete in late September.

State Route 46 microsurfacing, Weathersfield Township: The road from the Mahoning County line to just north of Salt Springs Road will have various lane restrictions. The project should be complete in October.

State Route 82 culvert, Braceville Township: Beginning Aug. 9, the road between Braceville-Robinson Road and Bailey Anderson Road will be closed through mid-August. The detour will be state Route 534 to state Route 5.
