COVID-19 vaccine booster shots to be offered at Austintown Senior Center

Recipients must bring an ID and COVID vaccination card to the clinic.

AUSTINTOWN — Mahoning County Public Health will provide Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine booster doses from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Friday at the Austintown Senior Center, 112 Westchester Drive.

The clinic, for eligible individuals who received their second dose of the Pfizer vaccine at least six months ago, is by appointment only. Appointments can be made through MCPH’s scheduling system, ArmorVax, which can be found here. For those who need assistance with the online scheduling system, call 330-270-2855, option 3. Any appointments made after noon Thursday will be scheduled for the following Friday.

Recipients must bring an ID and COVID vaccination card to the clinic.

The following Ohioans are eligible to receive a booster dose:

  • People age 65 and older or residents in long-term care settings;
  • People age 50 to 64 with certain underlying medical conditions;
  • People age 18 to 49 who are at high risk for severe COVID-19 due to certain underlying medical conditions;
  • People age 18 to 64 who are at increased risk for COVID-19 exposure and transmission because of occupational or institutional setting.

Individuals interested in starting their Moderna or Pfizer COVID vaccination series can call Mahoning County Public Health at 330-270-2855, option 3, to schedule an appointment.
