BOARDMAN — Armstrong customers in Boardman are experiencing outages after a truck took down multiple traffic signals at the intersection of Market Street and Western Reserve Road.
Ohio Department of Transportation signal electricians Darrell Brosius and Gary Zimmerman were called to the scene about 8 a.m. and wrapped up around noon. Zimmerman explained that a truck passed through the intersection with its forks up, slashing wires and bringing down six traffic signal heads.
David Wittmann, Armstrong's vice president of cable marketing, said several thousand customers were affected. Service has been partially restored, Wittmann said. He did not provide an estimate of when the restoration would be complete.
