DeWine orders nursing homes to notify residents, families of positive COVID-19 cases

COLUMBUS — Gov. Mike Dewine said Monday the state will issue an order to require nursing homes to notify residents and their families if there is a positive COVID-19 case in the 24 hours.

Long term care facilities are required to provide the notification within 24 hours.

"You have every right to know what the situation is there," said DeWine.

The information will be made available to the news media, DeWine said.
