WARREN — The Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership recently released its Warren City Parks Action Plan, which focuses on nine of the city’s parks that have recreation infrastructure.

The Warren City Parks Action Plan was created from the results of a data collection process and was compiled for each park to create a park description, history, inventory, park conditions, neighborhood accessibility, usage, public outreach, natural resources and priorities for maintenance and development.

The action plan includes recommendations to improve the physical infrastructure of the parks and improvement priorities, as well as system-wide improvements.

“We are aware that the timing of this release is not ideal with parks being temporarily closed and revenue down, but this plan explores capitalizing on the value of our parks over the long term,” Denise Rising, TNP’s community outreach coordinator, said in a news release. “They are a vital resource that TNP seeks to help protect.”
