YOUNGSTOWN — The Home Builders & Remodelers Association of the Valley had its annual Passing of the Gavel ceremony Dec. 15 at its office, 1240 Boardman-Canfield Road.

Rather than the normal large gathering of Mahoning Valley builders, contractors, bankers, suppliers and associates at a dinner event, a small group gathered for a brief meeting to honor outgoing 2020 President Mark Ramunno and welcome incoming 2021 President Steve Brewer.

In addition to Brewer, the 2021 HBA Executive Board will be led by:

  • Ramunno of Custom Homes Designed by Mark Ramunno, past president and 2021 vice president;
  • Andy Profanchik of APCO Construction, treasurer and secretary;
  • Dave Novak of D & R Garage Doors Plus, past president.

According to its website, the Home Builders & Remodelers Association of the Valley has served Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana Counties since 1945.

The association is made up of companies that include not only builders, developers and remodelers, but also trade contractors, materials suppliers, Realtors, mortgage lenders, title companies, interior designers, architects, landscapers and other trades.
