YOUNGSTOWN — Just in time for National Sandwich Day, Jack Kravitz, owner of Kravitz Delicatessen, 3135 Belmont Ave., will present an online sandwich making class today.

Kravitz will serve up the tricks of his trade at 7 p.m. on Facebook Live, and the video will remain online for those who can’t watch the live presentation.

“We are very particular about the way we prepare and slice the meat and the bread so we can then assemble it right,” Kravitz said in a news release. “Think of this as sandwich architecture — the blending of flavors and layering of ingredients creates a superior taste experience.”

To celebrate National Sandwich Day on Nov. 3, Kravitz Deli is offering 6-ounce specialty sandwiches for $10.99, and all corned beef and swiss sandwiches will cost only $5 from 5 to 7 p.m.

A portion of the sales will benefit OH WOW! The Roger & Gloria Jones Children's Center for Science & Technology in downtown Youngstown. One patron will be selected to win a weekly free sandwich for a year.
