Marines pick up toys, cash at Kennsington Golf Club

The Toys for Tots program is run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve which helps collect and distribute toys to children who would otherwise get very few — or no — gifts for Christmas.

CANFIELD — The annual Marine Corps Toys for Tots campaign at Kennsington Golf Club yielded cash and toys for children for Christmas.

Philip Faraglia, general manager at Kennsington, said he and the staff there collected more than $2,500 and four large donation bins with more than 200 toys this year.

The Toys for Tots program is run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve which helps collect and distribute toys to children who would otherwise get very few — or no — gifts for Christmas.

The Marines arrived at Kennsington Monday to collect the items for distribution.
