The map, which draws from Ohio Department of Health and U.S. Census Bureau data and breaks down cases by ZIP code, is expected to be updated on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, officials said.

As of today, there have been a total 1,728 cases of COVID-19 to-date, 564 of which were reported at long-term care facilities in the county, according to the map.

The 44512 ZIP code, which includes parts of Boardman, reported 294 total confirmed cases, the highest concentration of cases among any other Mahoning County ZIP code. Of those, 120 cases were reported at long-term care facilities.

There have also been 41 total deaths reported in that area.

There have also been 226 total deaths in the county to-date, 174 of which were reported at long-term care facilities.

Mahoning Matters last week called for COVID-19 data to be broken down by ZIP code in Freedom of Information Act requests submitted to health departments across the Mahoning Valley as well as the Ohio Department of Health.
