New PSA encourages Columbiana County residents to get vaccinated

Only 35% of residents in the county are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

LISBON — Columbiana County has a message for residents who are hesitant to get a COVID-19 vaccination. 

“Vaccines are safe, vaccines are effective and vaccines are available,” a news release from the Columbiana County Health District states.

With the COVID-19 delta variant spreading across the country and only 35% of county residents fully vaccinated, the Columbiana County COVID-19 Vaccination Taskforce has released a new public service announcement to encourage residents to get vaccinated.

“For years vaccines have been proven to be effective and to help in controlling diseases such as tetanus, diphtheria, measles, just to name a few. Let’s add COVID-19 to that list,” Dr. Pamela Rastetter, chief resident of Internal Medicine at East Liverpool City Hospital, says in the PSA video, which can be viewed below.
