OH WOW! cancels Tuesday’s groundbreaking ceremony

YOUNGSTOWN — OH WOW! The Roger & Gloria Jones Children's Center for Science & Technology has canceled its Tuesday (Dec. 1) groundbreaking ceremony due to the local spike in COVID-19 cases.

"Our primary concern continues to be the safety of our staff and community," wrote President Suzanne Barbati. "While the groundbreaking has been canceled, the construction planned to re-orient OH WOW!'s front entrance to Youngstown's Central Square Plaza is on schedule to begin this winter."

A grand re-opening is planned for May 15, 2021.
