Opera Western Reserve receives $10K donation in support of fall production
YOUNGSTOWN — The Frank and Pearl Gelbman Charitable Trust has contributed $10,000 to Opera Western Reserve for its fall production of "OWR Presents: A Taste of Traviata."
The grant is the first of a three-year commitment in support of OWR by the Gelbman Charitable Trust, which is administered by Huntington Bank.
For its fall season, OWR will present a new series, "OWR Presents," which allows opera fans and those curious about opera to watch performances virtually. "OWR Presents: A Taste of La Traviata" features video highlights of Giuseppe Verdi's "La Traviata," recorded and filmed at Stambaugh Auditorium. The production shows scenes in and around Stambaugh. The opera cast features new and returning singers.
