BOARDMAN — Planet Fitness opened April 1 at Southern Park Mall as part of the mall's ongoing redevelopment.
The gym will host its official grand opening on April 14 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 4 p.m.
Attendees can enjoy giveaways, raffle prizes and food and beverages from local eateries.
To ensure safety during the pandemic, Planet Fitness has implemented daily temperature checks for team members, thorough cleanings, increased sanitation stations and touchless check-in through the Planet Fitness app.
